Jianyou Yang has been an art educator for over 30 years. Prior to immigrating to US, Yang was a professor at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in China for 21 years. He taught drawing and painting classes to both undergraduate and graduate students. Jianyou Yang is a painter, illustrator, muralist and sculptor. He has won national and international awards and his artwork has been exhibited in China, US, Japan and Hong Kong. Some of Yang’s artwork has been collected by museums, state and city governments in China, cultural bureaus and private collectors. Yang’s landscape paintings have been selected for the Biennial Statewide Watercolor Juried Completion and exhibited at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara. Yang has also been commissioned by temples in Ukiah and Berkeley to produce Buddhist paintings and sculptures.
Jianyou Yang has been teaching art classes to teenagers and adults in the Bay Area for 14 years. His students have 100% acceptance rate to the most prestigious art universities, such as Rhode Island School of Design, California Institute of the Arts, Art Center College, and Academy of Art University.
Jianyou Yang teaches art classes to preteen to adult students. He also offers classes on art portfolio development for college admission for art and design majors, as well as for non-art majors as supplemental materials on extracurricular activities.
Prior ot immigrating to US, Lixia Wang worked as a professor in the Art Education department at Shenyang Academy of Education, an accredited degree program that trains students to become K through 12th grade art teachers. Lixia Wang is an expert in child development and art education for children.
Lixia Wang has been teaching youth art classes at Visionary Arts for the past 13 years. Her students have won many national and international children's art competitions.
On her spare time, Lixia Wang enjoys painting flowers, especially water lilies in watercolor and mixed media. Her over life-size flower paintings have been selected for the Biennial Statewide Watercolor Juried Completion and exhibited at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara.
Helen Yang is the current president of Visionary Arts. She started her art training at a very young age. She was accepted by the Oil Painting department at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. While in college, her drawing of a Michelangelo's sculpture of Guiliano de Medici is collected by Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in its preferment collection of excellent student artwork.
Helen Yang has a bachelor's degree in Marketing from University of Santa Clara. Upon graduation, she worked as a product manager at a software company in Silicon Valley for five and half years. In 2005, Helen Yang took over Visionary Arts and formed Visionary Arts LLC. Helen Yang is currently pursuing her MFA (Master of Fine Arts) degree in Oil Painting at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. In 2005, four of her recent drawings were selected and exhibited at the annual Spring Show for emerging artists.
Helen Yang teaches youth art classes in English and Chinese. Her goal is to utilize her artistic and marketing skills to continue the success of Visionary Arts and to better serve their students.
